So the button battery is a product that can be often used in our life, does it need to do 3C certification?

There are two types of button batteries:

1, Disposable button battery: CR (manganese dioxide), BR (fluorocarbon), SR (silver oxide), LR (zinc manganese) and other batteries;

 Mainly used in: electronic scale, remote control, IC card, computer motherboard, calculator, electronic watch, etc.;

This type of products mainly use disposable button batteries.

2. Recheargeable button battery: LIR (lithium cobalt oxide), ML (manganese dioxide), VL (vanadium oxide), MS (manganese silicon) and other batteries;

 Mainly used in: Bluetooth headset, medical devices (blood glucose meter, hearing aid), etc.;

This type of products mainly use rechargeable button batteries, the biggest feature is rechargeable use.

Common lithium-ion batteries are:

Lithium iron phosphate, lithium cobalt oxide, lithium manganate, lithium nickelate, ternary material battery and other cathode materials;

Therefore, from the description of the new regulations, it is reflected:

At present, the disposable button battery we use is not composed of lithium-ion materials, so disposable button batteries do not need to do 3C certification, and the material of the LIR button battery in the rechargeable series we use is composed of lithium cobalt oxide in lithium-ion, which has been reflected in the new regulations. Therefore, the LIR battery we use needs to do 3C certification to ensure that the product is used in sales or other business activities.
